The Sobriety Rocks Scholarship Contest sponsored by the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) encourages Kansans to avoid drinking alcohol until reaching the legal age of 21. Kansas youth submitted their creative work in three categories: music, writing and art. The 2011 winners are featured here.

The judges praised Kelly's creativity and liked that she had a strong message about resisting the social pressures around drinking in high school.
